I am retired United States Navy, 23 years of service. I retired as a Master Chief Damage Control-man. I served on 5 US Navy Ships and several shore duty assignments. All of which included duties and responsibilities within occupational safety & health.

After I left the Navy, I took a job on the waterfront as a safety professional for the Coastal Maritime Group of companies. Within 2 years of my tenure,  I was promoted to VP of Human Resources, Safety and Security.  I worked for Coastal Maritime for 16 years. During my time there, the company went through an incredible period of growth.  I assisted in the negotiations of labor union contracts, workers compensation renewals, EEOC complaint defenses, unemployment hearings, damaged claims, and arbitration hearings.  I have authored HR policy, safety and health plans, implemented policy, Navy Training Publications, and trained large groups of people.

When the company was sold, I accepted a position with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. I took the job thinking I could make a difference. I served in the agency for 10 years. I've completed over 500 on-site inspections, supervised and managed over 2000. I  served as Assistant Area Director and Area Director in Jacksonville and the Atlanta East Office.

I've been on the receiving end and the giving end of OSHA.  I've written cases, assisted with the litigation of cases, and I have settled cases. You could say "I've been there, I've done that, & I have the scar tissue and  the T-shirts to prove it".

I have the unique perspective of being on both sides of the table when it comes to Government regulation and intervention. I have over 40 years of experience in cultivating successful organizations. I have a proven track record of sound solid leadership. I know how to motivate folks and I know how to get things done. I am here to fight for you!
